Spencer was truly a wonderful friend and companion. I always considered him a genius, he was able to create things with his hands combined with a fertile imagination. His fine art was exemplary. He was probably the greatest living painter of miniatures in the World, this was recognised by those members of the City Guilds who saw his work. Together with Jill, Sandra and I have enjoyed a wonderful friendship where we enjoyed some great fun times together. I will personally miss him greatly as we had formed a brotherly bond. Ultimately Spen, was a wonderfully kind and considerate human being, who I’m proud to have been considered his close friend.
